These jewels are made in honor of our old Hungarian Golden Ladies, and bear their names. We know close to nothing about them, they are not mentioned in the history books, even though we wouldn’t be here without them. While our men were in battle, they were the ones who organized and carried out every task imaginable. They raised our children, harvested the crops, performed military duties, and healed each other at the highest level. It is a volatile veil, an invisible work they had carried out, yet a very strong intellectual, spiritual, and physical fort held in the background.
In various places, the timeless talismans embrace polished grenade stone which revives the inner female fire within us. Finally, a pomegranate is embedded in the pendant, which is an old embroidery detail..for me, pomegranate is the most passionate fruit, a glittering gem, whose seeds are embedded orderly inside, similar to the process of conception.

But what is a szuszék?
Szuszék or chest is the result of thousands of years of technology and is made of high-quality beech wood by carpentry and wood splitting. Two types of chests were used. The undecorated ones were used to store grain, and the ones with symbols and motifs on it were used as dowry chests.
It is one of the most sacred objects of Hungarian peasant culture.

The susz is the breath with which we come and go from this world. The clutch. A kind of gateway between worlds. Since all the elements in the world are born from it, I tried to look for a sign of szusz that can best convey this core of being. Szusz is the breath. I noticed that when we dare to let the air out of us, to breathe out with sound, really elementary things happen in our lives.

Interpretations of the symbol: In folk tradition, this symbol is the core of the Earth. The primordial elements do not like to condense themselves, so only the crust of our Earth is solid, the inside glows. The source from which desire wells up.
